Geocaching Panel @ MFF!
So...Do you like Geocaching? Need info on a new GPSr? Want to hear and share horror and fun stories about caching? Never heard of it??? Well, At MFF this year, join luckytheevildog and myself as we share all of the above. Tales of great hides, and awesome finds, discussions on geocoins and pathtags, software, and of course, the all popular travel bugs will be covered.

Oh, for those coming to the panel on Friday night @ 7PM...we'll have a special cache for you to find! This will NOT be an official MFF event or Geocaching cache, as we would like only those coming to the panel to find it; it will not be published on Geocaching's website. So you'll have to come to the panel to get the coordinates. I have a feeling its going to be a tad harder to find than your normal ones too! And FTF will get a special prize ^.^

(x-poxted to midwest_furfest and personal journal.

wow, that makes me wish I was going to MFF. I've often thought about hosting or organizing an official geocaching panel at a con.
Have fun at MFF and I hope your event goes well :3

Yeah, Lucky and I decided that it was too much fun to do on our own. So we thought about it and said what the heck...we'll do it. Especially since there are at least 3 caches right next to the hotel!

If you're still interested in hosting a panel at another con, PM me after MFF and I'll give you ideas on what we did and how it went over. The only reason it isn't an "official" event is because of liability reasons thru the Con. That, and I didn't want the cache found by a bunch of people and have the log filled (or lost) before the con even started! :P
