Just discovered Geocaching a few days ago, wow it's fun, I freakin love it! I've found 2 caches so far in Nevada, and my GPS device of choice for right now is an eXplorist 200.

Anyone in the Louisville, KY area? Any recommendations of some quick, easy caches in the area around Waterfront park?

If you've got nothing better to do, how about voting for:

Yeah, it's a boring picture. I thought the entry would be selected at random. Not by popular vote.

I dropped the Jeep off yesterday. I had taken it to the Truman Library and Museum to fulfill this months goal of "American Heritage," but I couldn't find any of the caches in the immediate area. So I left it in my usual place instead.

When I went to upload a picture for the photo contest, I found that I had not written down the tracking number. So, this morning, I went back to get the number. And when I again tried to submit a photo, I couldn't, because I already had. The photo has a "unconfirmed tracking number" comment attached to it. *Sigh* Hopefully it still counts as an entry. I mean, *I'm* the one who placed it, so of course I had the number.

Here's the pic, by the way. Nothing spectacular.

On a different note, if I get to MFM, I may spend a few hours finding some caches in the area. Anyone else interested? I know, I know. It involves leaving the hotel and exposure to the big yellow ball. But that's a good thing.

Yes I got a Red Jeep in my hands that I will let people discover and then drip off on the way home from Anthrocon.

July 4th travel planCollapse )
Arrive Hotel Western about 2:45PM for Anthrocon

Also I want to try again GCVYVW Traditional Cache Triangulated Elves. I emailed the owner this time, I failed to find this last year.
Now I know what I am looking for at least.

X-Posted from foxcutter.

Two Sundays ago (the 17th) I got together with snowwolf75 and who knows how many other geocachers for a little bit of an adventure. It was a long day so I'll start near the top and go from there.

A few days before Snow Wolf and I talking about an event that was happening that Sunday morning. The event was a breakfast get together before heading off to find a geocache. The cache in this case was Mission 9: Tunnel of Light. This cache is fairly out of the way, up on the pass, and is also a Project APE cache, one of the few still active. I've been wanting to get this cache for a while, but I just never got around to it.

Cut for a long story with picturesCollapse )

This was a great trip and heck of a bike ride. I'll probably doing it again later in the year as xodiac want's to see the tunnel. I'm looking forward to it.

Oh, and there are more pictures in my gallery if you want to take a look.

Feel Free to add me to your geocaching friends list (a new feature on geocaching.com)

Although nothing right now but a quick way for you to send e-mails to friends more features will be added they say.

I do not know if it is a good thing or not that geocaching has joined in the social networking band wagon as stated in my last post but we will see.

I guess anything can get abused.
